Just thought we would pass on a new item we saw being installed at a building we are doing construction clean-up. There are mixed emotions about hand dryers versus paper towels in regards to sustainability and the janitorial service requirements. Is it “greener” or more environmental friendly to utilize the electricity for hand dryers OR put paper into landfills?
There is no paper towel holder and only the TOTO Hand Dryer.
What we like about it is how well they designed it to prevent water from being splashed on the wall while drying and it didn’t look bad. There is a tray under the unit that you can pull and dump excess water.
They don’t say it below but under specification it said it produce air at a rate of 224 “MPH” WOW! Not sure if it is heated air.
Here is what the Excel XL Hand dryer had to say about there unit. They cost about $500
